Memes are a visual representation of slangs, or how we feel about things. For example, instead of saying "Today was awful" you insert a little image or video to express that feeling. It's like the dialect of the Internet's language. When you take a closer look at the definition of a meme you begin to realize that memes aren't just funny images or videos. Memes have become a movement. Not necessarily like it was when it first started in the 1900s, but their purpose now is to bring us closer together and be able to understand each other through relatable pics. And as a result of that, I believe memes have made a cultural impact on society.
